“Effort only releases its reward after a person refuses to quit”, are the words Atty. Catherine May L. Alberto lives by. Currently the Manager of the Energy Trading Services Department, she is also the Cooperative’s Data Protection Officer and Consultant on Special Issues. Atty. Cath is committed to preserving professional excellence, integrity, and the Cooperative’s corporate values. She is an active member of several organizations outside the power industry which include the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Ten Outstanding Student of the Philippines – Alumni Community (TOSP-AC), Bayer Young Environmental Envoy of the Philippines (BYEE), and the Cagayan Valley Young and Empowered Roster of Outstanding Students (CAVALYEROS). Although fairly new in the rural electrification movement, she has completed several courses and trainings such as EPIRA 101, EPIRA 201, and Electric Market: Power Supply Contracting at the National Engineering Center, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. She has also participated in trainings initiated by the School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning, Asian Institute of Management – Leading in Times of Crisis for NEA and its Electric Cooperatives and Effective Management in Turbulent Environments for NEA Electric Cooperatives. At present, she is a member of the Bids and Awards Committee and the Vice Chairman of the Third-Party Bids and Awards Committee (TPBAC) of ISELCO-I.

Manager, Area Operations Management Department- (SOUTH)

Being the head of the Area Operation Management Department - South, Engr. Bonifacio A. Bibat, Jr., ensures a high level of collection efficiency as well as lawful and reasonable implementation of disconnection activities, to guarantee compliance of the Cooperative’s established rules and regulations. As an electrical engineer, he has successfully led several projects and assignments in ISELCO-I such as the construction of the 10-MVA Cordon Substation without any electrical contractor involved, and the rehabilitation of lines damaged by Typhoon Rosita way back in 2018. Engr. Bibat is a member of the Area Managers Association of the Philippines (AMAPHI) and the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE). Engr. Bong believes that “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

One of the new members of the management, Engr. Roger B. Jose, a Registered Electrical Engineer, started his career in ISELCO-I on October 27, 1997. At present, he is the Manager of the Area Operation Management Department - North. Having a vision to further advance the Cooperative’s business processes, he has initiated and implemented major programs in the field of power system reliability improvement, introduced new initiatives and strategies in the system loss reduction program, collection of power bills, and quicker response to complaints and requests of the member-consumer-owners. Engr. Roger is also an active member of the Philippine Instrumentation and Control Society (PICS), Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE), and Area Managers Association of the Philippines (AMAPHI). Clear mission and vision of the Cooperative and passion for work are his motivation in putting his best effort to whatever task being entrusted to his care.
